Work out a stand-up comedy by yourself (2-3 min with no visual aids)!
You can focus on any topic that you feel strongly about, and think will engage the audience. Make sure you deliver your bits in a conversational manner and have a complete stand-up routine that includes an opening, bits(also punchlines), transitions and a closer.
After you've finished your script, take enough time to memorize it and do rehearsals. Prepare fully ahead of the performance and take it easy when it's your turn to go on the stage!
